Concert

On Saturday, May 3, join us for the premier of "M...brought to you by the letter T" - a new concert work by Tapestry Dance Company's pre-apprentice group: Visions in Rhythm. The concert begins at 7:30pm in the Helm Fine Arts Theatre on the St. Stephen's Episcopal School Campus. Special guests include live music by Secret Spice and RPM Youth Tap Ensemble from San Antonio. Map to the theatre.

Tickets are $10 (adults), $5 (6-18 yrs) and free for children ages 5 and younger. 

Pre-Concert Fundraiser Dinner (with Door Prizes)

Before the show we hope you will join us for our annual fundraising event, a pre-concert dinner at Dragon Gate Restaurant in Davenport Village. The pre-concert dinner begins at 5:30pm and is located just across 360 from St. Stephen's on the north end of the Davenport Village shopping center. Come for a great meal as well as exciting raffle prizes (purchase your raffle tickets above - 5 for $25) like an IPOD Shuffle, Paramount movie tickets, summer camp at Zach Scott Theater, Zach Scott theater tickets, free dance classes, dinner certificates and more.  Map to Dragon Gate restaurant. Tickets are $30 (adults) and $15 (12 yrs and under).

Dragon Gate is a particularly engaging restaurant in Davenport Village off Highway 360. It fuses Japanese and Chinese with a hint of European influence mixed in. Dragon Gate appeals to the eye as well as the palate. A dining experience there is one to be appreciated on a number of levels: from the attentive staff to the artists in the kitchen.

Visions in Rhythm (VIR)

VIR is Tapestry's pre-apprentice company. This junior level company is directed by Tasha Lawson and explores the Tapestry philosophy through the rehearsal process and public performance. VIR members rehearse with guest and resident choreographers in the development of multi-form concert works.

In addition to performances at various venues throughout the year, the company performs an original concert each year in the spring. This year the company will premier "M...brought to you by the letter T" on Saturday, May 3, at St. Stephen's Helm Fine Arts Theatre. This year, VIR has partnered with the nonprofit organization Wonders and Worries to lift others through the power of dance.  Read about our outreach activities through Tapestry Dance Company online.

THIS IS OUR MAJOR FUNDRAISER THIS YEAR. Your ticket purchases, support of our fundraising efforts and donations help support our costs (theatre rental, concert personnel, guest choreographer costs) and enable our young dancers to participate in master classes and training to enhance their dance education throughout the year, as well as community outreach to empower others through the art of dance.  Thanks for your support!
